I wear a 12.5(American)extra-wide, and usually have to compromise and get a 13 to fit my foot; these fit very snug, and I think would be painfully small for anyone with a proper size 13 foot. But after a one-hour break-in ride on moderate green trails I had no blisters or red spots. They felt secure on the pedals, and were not hard to walk in when I got back to the parking lot. The speed lace worked smoothly; I was afraid the skinny laces would cut into the top of my feet, but did not notice them at all after they went on. The black with a red collar looked good with my bike (black/silver, with red pedals and grips). Can't predict how they will hold up over time, but my first impressions are very good, with the size caveat. And I rode in dry conditions, so I can't say how they might be in the wet yet. Overall, very happy, only reason for the 4-star rating is the size being just a little small, although for me that turned out to be a fine thing; a close fit is great for the trails!Quality for a good pricedI like the comfort and grip and positioning it provides on the pedals.BikingRuns small, get a size up..It’s true to size. Down side for me is the shoe flex. Under power spin it “flex a lot”! Feels like using a running shoes on a pedals. But for the price, it’s good value. Toes right at end to short to even stand up in. Sole is flexible like a running shoe as has already been mentioned. If it came in one size bigger but 13 is as big as it comes, so back to the search.Shoe feels great. Only concern is the durability of the snaps, seem kind of cheap.
